I figured that the Equestrian language actually used three different writing systems, like Japanese, to help convey that it’s syncretic, like modern English. A logographic system from earth ponies that leads to a form of block printing, a phonographic system outwardly resembling something like Arabic from unicorns and an alphabetic system with Cyrillic elements from pegasi.
