I’m all up for the reality-warping transformation, especially if it affects others like Cadence. You think she’d become a stallion in the process or would she and Shining be in a same-sex marriage?

The neat things about these kinds of TG’s is the ambiguity of what the outcome is, you can interpret it as shining armor becoming a mare and just kinda rolling with it, or you could interpret as shining armor becoming a mare, gets his or rather, her memories of ever being a stallion erased, then replaced by those of a mare’s, making her believe that she was always a mare, completely oblivious to her old self.

To go the extra mile there could even be reality changes, so that everyone else only remember the female shining armor.
