I think it is more likely that if the G5 tries to tie into the G4 world, that it will be done in a flash back, cut away to, a short segment much like when Twilight spoke of “Gusty the Great”. In other words, it is referenced through animation but that is about it, not even a VA was for just that character. Much to like how the cut in the begining of the Movie was, perhaps they will do the cuts in that same style, perhaps redraw old scenes as stories of the new generation. Although, at that point they probably would just use the old audio from that scene.
In short, I doubt the old cast of g4, will have any part in G5.

Also Featuring The Mane 6… Wow just wow, that hit right in the heart. To see our Main Cast no longer in the Center Spotlight. It should have said Also Featuring The New Cast with the Main 6 in the Center, just for this 1 last time.
I agree, it feels like so many have just moved right on, forgotten what brought people to this point, and just moved right past that to what’s trendy
Indeed, at least the Egmont MLP Magazine is still holding out, from what i have seen. Let us hope for at least 1 cameo episode where the new cast travels back in time & so we can see our old friends 1 last time.
To be fair, I wasn’t a fan of the G5 premiere, but not much we can do about it. I guess the memories of our G4 experiences will last us, and we can rewatch what we love best

It would probobly be for the best that, that episode would be in either the 2nd or 3rd season, so as to give it the most impact, make the G4 fans wait a wheil, but not too much.
