That may just be the case. In his young mind Sprout probably just innocently thought unicorns are really hardcore. Maybe if Phyllis’ influence wasn’t so strong he might grow up to not fear unicorn but just think they’re badass. It’s like Sunny’s admiration toward unicorns but more boyish. :P

No matter his prejudice, even if the cupcakes look like unicorns, food is still food!
Imagine a kid that thinks Decepticons are cooler than Autobots so he plays with Decepticon figures even though they’re the bad guys. I think as a kid, Sprout might have thought unicorns were cool only because they can fry pony brains with their horn lasers.
