Every time I read this page, I have to laugh at Trixie’s attempt to make anything associated with her to be glorious in the extreme. But, that seems to be her personality and personality traits are difficult at best to change. But, I wouldn’t want her to change one little bit.

It was the closest thing I could find to the van in the show. But it was fun to get to drag out something old and classic like that. :)
I have noticed that VW is making a retro van that looks very similar to the original. I saw one the other day and did a double take (something I don’t recommend when you’re driving 55 MPH, LOL). I noticed some differences but if you do a quick look, you don’t notice them.

I was at least attempting to imply that a shitty boyfriend and a general asshole, with some of Trixie’s comments to him. And yeah, like you say, the trying to cheat on her is the sign of a super quality boyfriend. I suppose Smoothie doesn’t have that context, though.

While my world isn’t sticking exactly to Equestria Girls (obviously) she wouldn’t remember them at the moment. She was, along with just about everypony else, too busy getting caught up in the magically induced competition frenzy to pay much attention to the new girls who happened to be also competing. I figure because of all the mind altering magic, the whole incident (especially the battle/confrontation) would be a bit of a blur.
 
Though there is always the possibility of her remembering later, especially if something jogs her memory. I wonder how sympathetic she would be… gazes into the distance contemplatively
