again, why are you trying to escalate such a non-issue into something it isn’t? did M.A. Larson mug you in the street or something? Twilicorn drama had its time back in 2013/2014 with people like Kwark, and the only people who are still unironically griping about it now are those entitled people who are trying to “revise” season 9 that can’t seem to let things go and the seasonwunner purists - it’s beating a dead horse at this point figuratively and probably even literally
 
also… Twilight is the main character, though? I know it’s a group effort from everyone and I’m not trying to undermine the rest of the cast, but in the grand scheme of things, Twilight is essentially the leader

The map from G4 may be the same in G5, but what was once on the map can either be gone or changed to the unrecognizable through the centuries due. war, natural disasters, loss of magic and investment in technology. In our world we have changed the nature of the countries so much through industrialization and resource extraction, that a country - like Prussia in Europe - which from the year 1800 can not be compared to today’s Prussia which has disappeared after the end of the war in 1945. Prussia was very forested, had many more lakes and a lot of soft ground with few cities, even fewer communication routes. All this disappeared as a result of industrialization and political changes.
 
Unfortunately, we should be prepared for many shocks, possibly Canterlot is in ruins after such a long time, although Ponyville may survive. Entire mountains can disappear, because we know that the people who make up Equestria are very capable, with or not with magic. The railway can either be gone or changed to pure freight over long distances, as a modern society must have resources from the known world. A smartphone that Pipp uses is in our world based on components and raw materials from all over the world. Oil extraction and synthetic production seemed to be normal for the ponies, which are obviously more technologically advanced than in G4, and then this means that extensive trade and contact with non-pony countries is necessary. Possibly the result of the empire that Twilight had left behind, even if it had disappeared, the impact of this is strong in the new world at G5.
 
After looking at the three place names - Bridlewood Forest for the Unicorns, Maretime Bay for the Earth Ponies and Zephyr Heights for the Pegasi - there are two options for where they are located. On the west coast south of Vanhoover facing the North Luna Ocean where the Smokey Mountains and a couple of mountain ranges face southwest, with close distance between coast, forest and mountain landscape. Or on the east coast between Horseshoe Bay and Manehattan in the south, or between Manehattan in and the coast towards Starlight`s Cave in the north.
 
Given that the pegasi seemed to be associated with Rainbow Falls in the Yaket Range in the G4, it would not be surprising if a kingdom arose there on the great plateau mountains and hills in the eastern parts of the Yaket Range. The unicorns after the loss of magic must thus emigrate - and it is possible that they learn forestry and agriculture in order to survive, at the same time as they want to preserve the intellectual heritage of the past. Very similar to the elves in the mythology of our world. Maretime Bay seemed reminiscent of both a village and a resort, and is obviously a place of little importance in contrast to Zephyr Heights and Bridlewood Forest. Which means that Manehattan, Philadelphia and Baltimare may have survived and become the core of a separate state for the earth ponies.
 
On the west coast, the writers can start all over again, and the strange pets like the cats with solitary horns can be from the “Undiscovered West” which was never mapped in the G4, and which can lead to the homelands of the minotaurs and centaurs. It will not be far to suitable mountain terrain for the pegasi, harbor areas for earth ponies with Vanhoover / Tall Tale and the forests up on the Unicorn Range (it is possible that the diamond dogs may appear there later in the G5).
 
If the movie begins on the east coast, it will not be very far from the middle Equestria that could be the end goal for the Mane 5 in their adventure that will turn the world upside down. It is certain that there are more than just three states in Equestria, and that the pegasi kingdom in the northeast may be one of several pegasi states. Equestria is as big as a continent, and certainly far more diverse than in the G4, so it will be very much strange that may surprise viewers, especially with the comics and the TV series.
 
Since it has been so long, it is possible to use the lore from G4 and at the same time can start again with blank sheets. If the alicorns ascend so that they can ensure the survival of the world without being able to intervene in the world of ponies, it is possible to have “natural order” in the celestial bodies and background. Equus is “static” without rotation as detected in G4. Thus, one can ignore this when G5 is to be explored - until the final about many years where Sunny will face her fate.
 
There are in truth two separate worlds.
