naturally, people would think that the counterpart to magic is science, right?
well, there’s two problems with that: one, she uses magic herself, and two, science isn’t bad.
so what IS bad?
fanatism; the unwillingness to listen to anybody else, to do and think what only YOU think is right.
as such, it’s the ultimate counterpart to friendship.
midnight glow styles herself a teacher and scientist, trying to convince others of what only she thinks is right. she is quite prejudiced, has a bad temper and will only accept others’ viewpoint with a damn good reason.
and for some reason, i keep thinking she’s quite skilled at conjuring lightning. :D”

If I make a fanfiction, it’ll be a retelling with Twilight starting not just as a loner but inflexible and arrogant and a misanthropist (of ponies). And she would learn over several episodes to trust and have hope in friendship.
