The popular term is fainting goats, although they do not lose consciousness. Excitement, like being chased or frightened, but also rushing to the food bin, makes their leg muscles freeze and they fall over. Obviously this is artificially bred, because freezing when a predator chases you is a sure road to extinction. However, keeping a few fainting goats in a herd provides sacrificial decoys while the rest run to safety.

This is a special genetical condition that happens to certain breed of goats, in which when they feel overstressed, they suddenly “freeze” and can’t move. I think they are called Myotonic goats?
