In order to make his own character look good, the author had to make the actual characters look bad.
This is probably the reason.
Another is the whole american patriotic masturbation thing this fic has going on.
Which is why I don’t understand why he called it a wish fullfillment story.
This story is about a pony (Rarity’s daughter, more specifically) ending up on Earth and being raised by human parents, and later having to deal with her strained relationship with her biological parents.
I could understand the wish-fulfillment accusation if the human characters were blatant self-inserts like in My Little Dashie, but for this story that argument just doesn’t hold water.
How so?
