I know it’s hard to fight all that intentional and unintentional black PR, but you could at least try to do what you do the best way you can and still stay true to who you really are.
But i don’t have oikophobia, and it’s hard to remember what i learned from mlp. Last episode i watched was ending of 2nd season around 8y ago.

I see you did’n learn much from FiM and especially that “no matter where you go in life, you should never forget that you are the product of your home and your friends. And that is something always to be proud of, no matter what.”
And please, have some respect towards yourself. Be proud of where you are from, be brawe.
