If everything Scootaloo said about her family life experiences prior to their episode is canon, which it is, then it isn’t exactly JUST a matter of opinion is it?
 
This comic supports painting deadbeats in a good light. And you like that. And there’s no really over the top excuse for them being deadbeats.
 
No matter how many million moral angles you look at it, its 100% not kosher.
 
Saying “I support deadbeats” is similar to someone saying something ridiculous like, I dont know, ||I support neo-nazis || or something absolutely ludicrous like that. Sure its an opinion but….woof. That is some opinion out of touch with reality.
 
Then again this IS also a show where Starlight visited the town she brainwashed and they are totally happy to see her and want her to take on responsibilities so…maybe the latter half of the show’s writers are just really messed up people who have no idea what they’re writing half the time.
 
I mean…it wouldn’t be untrue. Considering how long the show went on for, maybe they often resorted to their pile of really bad episode scripts a liiiittle too much.

Don’t you think its a little late for that? Before the aunts were introduced, Scootaloo outright stated twice she didnt know what its like to have people she could look up to. Then we find out later, boom, suddenly she has two aunts that take care of her that seem nice enough, so either it was a retcon or they’re so passive in how they raise scootaloo they barely have any parental connection with her at all. And now in their first appearance in the show and now Season 10, were supposed to buy that Scootaloo’s real parents, who are never around, care and everything turns out all right with no misgivings at all? Just like their reveal in the show, ‘too little too late’ comes to mind.

This comic was really cute I liked it. The interactions between Scootaloo and her parents and her aunts were great all around.

I mean you’ve know her for like 10 minutes…
