New movie will allegedly feature the Mane 6, as well as Season 2 of PL being confirmed.
Yeah, so many movies had been delayed because of it. If it doesn’t go away any sooner, then there’s a chance it could be pushed to 2022.
Maybe. I mean, no movie stated to premiere in the second half of 2021 (or in the first half of 2022) has been impacted by COVID-19, we have to wait to see!
Will Most likely only Another Paramount film takes its slot
Certainly, i dont deny that but the MCs character arcs are still done and completed.That doesnt exclude the possibilities of seeing character sharing the same name as the M6 in a rebooted setting however (like they always did so far :see AJ and Spike from G1,Rainbow Dash,Scootaloo,Sweetie Belle and Cheerilee from G3),like they do the same with Transformers.
There has also never been a more popular My Little Pony series. The amount of Friendship is Magic episodes is more then many other Hasbro series combined. Now they could still choose to reboot it of course but the situation can’t be compared to previous generations of My Little Pony.
Yeah, it actually makes sense. Let’s wait, maybe we’re getting something new soon!
They’d rather do the latter. The G4 6 characters arc are over and done and also every change of MLP Gen so far has been a reboot
For now, it’s an ambiguous thing. We’ll soon know if the Mane 6 from the G5 movie are the same ones as FiM or alternate versions.

Astrohippus is basing his comment on the leaks we got in 2017, but a lot could have changed since then. There was no mention of familiar characters returning.
The only thing they mentioned about the old characters (in the Q&A section) is that they don’t completely remove themselves from the old characters. What that means in practice is anyone’s guess.

Um. Interesting. I wonder if the Mane 6 will be the same as in G4 or the ones we saw in early concept arts for G5! They quite likely will have different voice actors.
Kind of a reboot, but with some familiar characters. Not all that unusual, considering all of the Mane Six actually came from previous generations (although if I’m not wrong Fluttershy was toyline-only in G3).
Not a single mention of featuring old cast/Mane6. The rest is fine.
