I mean depending on what she means, that’s not untrue. Phone itself might not really be that harmful (bluelight probably being the worst thing that really affects your everyday life) but if you’re not maintaining a good posture when using it (maybe you’re laying weird on the couch or bed, leaning over too far on a chair, or looking down at it while walking or standing) then that could possibly cause discomfort in your back and joints.
 
Though I admit I may be stretching here, I use my phone heavily on a daily basis and haven’t really had this problem.
