I would watch the entire series just to see that happen.

I’m half-expecting him to be re-imagined as Twilight’s younger brother. That gives them some wiggle room to keep his devotion to Twilight, and even his crush on Rarity in place without the whole ‘indentured servant’ vibe that’d come up if they kept him as an overly-obedient assistant.

But if Twi and co have been aged down at least five years maybe Spike is younger too?

I expect him to be a kid, aged ten to eleven. Probably with a mohawk.

Normal: Around 11-13 years old.

Weird, I actually heard He was going to be some sort of young teen computer hacker, and kinda make sense since in the regular show he has the talent to send and receive messages from Celestia and if the alternate series sets in our world he kinda needs to have knowledge in telecommunications and computers, which it’s the way We communicate here.

I know what you’re saying though, OTHER people will make that assumption, but still, if they keep his crush on Rarity, it’s pretty clear that he wouldn’t end up gay.
 
But yeah, he will hopefully not be a pet, since that just makes no sense. IF this is meant to be a highschool setting, with humans, spike:a sentient creature, that can speak english, and be in society can’t suddenly become a pet (even if he does become like Brian Griffon and talk) since it’d be out of place.

Well, think about this:
 
A character that has to live in a world were the superior race, that is humans, rule above everything. He wants to be with the one he loves but cant since he cant communicate in their language. He is an outcast since not everyone will like a dog, and he is forever doomed to be a sentient pet with no choice in his life.
