An interesting one to make. I used the bodysuit texture I made earlier for the “Cold Consumption”, but now you can see the front side with the details. Posing was difficult due to the nature of it and the model she sits on top of, but it looks good all things considered. Lighting was less intuitive due to the map that was chosen, but I was able work around it. One thing that stands out is the lack of shadows on the mech. Author made a note saying that shadows projected on to it don’t work, for some reason :/. I’m open to comments or critiques if anyone has them!
I see. I find it enjoyable even after all this time. I never could get MW:LL to work sadly. It looks like a great game.
As far as I know, this Nova model is the only Battletech related thing for SFM. And it just got released days ago. If everything from MWO could be ported into SFM, its possible to port the pilot suit from the game. But I don’t know much on porting these things. Best thing I had was a bodysuit from NexGen with edited textures.
I had my fun in MWO, started in closed beta. I went back to the gem that is MW:LL.
Out of curiosity, does SFM have any models for Battletech Neurohelmets or cooling vests / suits?
It’s definitely a Nova, but it looks similar to a Stormcrow. The main difference is the Stormcrow’s cockpit sits in the middle of the mech, where as the Nova has it’s cockpit towards the top of the mech. The one of the pictures that I’ll post later will show a different perspective that’ll include the arms and legs where it might be more recognizable.
Yeah MWO is still alive, for what its worth. You either love it or hate it
