In “The Last Problem” Luna mentioned “Silver Shoals” - a place where she and Celestia will go.
After searching for information about this place, I found out that Silver Shoals is a retirement community.
Luna also asks Twilight to visit them there, which suggests that sisters will remain there indefinitely, possibly forever.
From “The Journal of the Two Sisters” book it’s clear that the alicorns do not age due to the use of a large amount of magic. Sisters used strong magic to interact with the heavenly bodies.
After Twilight took Celestia and Luna’s place, two sisters stopped using such strong magic. Most likely, they will become old as usual ponies…
That’s sad, but that’s what creators of the series decided.
I tried to imagine Luna in old age. I think she is still beautiful like before.
And no to having it all revised just because you and only you didn’t like it.
Heh, darn typos.
No one cares.
Tbf, I’m pretty sure they’re still immortal, but it’s up to debate if they really did give up their powers.
Especially Luna since she didn’t get to experience life as much as Celestia did. It really makes the Nightmare Moon mess even more tragic than it should with Luna lost a 1000 years of her life she could have experienced life there.
It makes the retirement stuff even more worse than it is before for me.
(Drat, I meant to say “common,” or I meant to say “the lack of agelessness is uncommon”)

Yeah, the “Silver,” followed by another word that starts with an “S” can be rather disorienting sometimes, to some people. They should’ve just kept saying “Seaward Shoals” in the show quite honestly, because it’s more distinct.

Eh, to be fair it’s an easy mistake to make.
Actually, no, no it isn’t.
Silver Stable Community is the name of the retirement community.
Silver Shoals is the name of a coastal town, another name for it, being said in the episode P.P.O.V. (Pony Point of View) is “Seaward Shoals.”
They’re different names for the same place. Watch Point of No Return, you can see that it’s distinct name from this quote:
Which contrasts with them later saying:
…Also, something just feels wrong about seeing an “elderly alicorn,” does it not? I guess it’s in part due to how uncommon “agelessness” is with them.

RIGHT! My beautiful Princess!
This. Its nope all of it.
As for Silver Shoals even if it is confirmed that they will live there after they have left Canterlot it doesn’t mean that they will have to stay there forever and that they will grow old, they probably went there because they finished their job and decided to take one break before starting a new life, after all after making the princesses for centuries I don’t think it’s easy for them to adapt to society especially now that they don’t have a home and a job …
