I think it’s mostly conjecture at this point. From what I could gather the whole thing arose with the whole alicorn Twilight thing, and the comic staff not getting any mention of it.

I don’t mind correcting a tag or two if I see it’s necessary. Proper tagging can be difficult. However uploading an image with only the rating tag is inexcusable. Don’t be a lazy ass.

iz a common thing. Lifeforce was also about similar, they were ‘energy vamps’ trying to take over London I think was the city to suck it all dry. I remember a giant clock somewhere in there at any rate.

Actually from what I read there no chance of this comic or anything MLP related being released in japan. The japanese G1 toys sold poorly and if they did bring MLP back to japan they think it will likely lose the market to pretty cure, hello kitty and/or jewelpets

Evidently they can. There was no reason to believe the average changeling couldn’t think for itself other than “It looks like bug, therefore dumb.”
 
Hell, there’s some recent evidence that real life honeybees have individual personalities, so the changelings being thinking beings isn’t exactly surprising.
