Possibly unpopular opinion: These two characters were so bland and uninteresting that I don’t even remember their names. What were they? Widowmaker and not-Twilight? :P
I know some don’t like the episode because it sinks the ship with Quibble Pants and Rainbow Dash. Don’t know if that’s why the artist doesn’t like it or not.

must be awful to divorce someone after giving birth to his child. you can’t shake the guilt of propogating that bucking loser’s genes, and every time your kid does something stupid, you can’t shake the suspicion that it’s the “bucking loser” genes at work.
plus you went through giving birth for a guy who you wouldn’t give the time of day now, and you can never talk about it without destroying your kid’s self esteem…
Well, at least, her daughter shouldn’t be messing up all her chances on purpose.
She’s just complaining she can’t get another man and acting like her daughter has some duty to help her do it.

I think you mixed around Wind Sprint’s and Clear Sky’s names – Clear Sky’s the mom.
Other than that, though, I tend to agree with you on your take on this.
so the second panel is if wind sprint was the one who drove off the original dad, and is just tired of her daughter being a little shid. the third panel is if clear sky managed to drive off her original daddy, not wind sprint. eliminate either panel 2 or 3, and the comic is funny. but the sum of both panels is that wind sprint rejected their original dad, and then started blaming her daughter for it which isn’t funny at all.

Clear Sky killed her first husband for getting her pregnant. That’s my guess.
