A models, especially the stripped down export variants we stomped in middle east, combine monosteel armor with simple construction for maximum rocket thrust.
Modern B3 production uses vastly improved composite armor and belly mounted blowout panels, and has a chance to somewhat survive an ammo detonation (the crew on the other hand…)
