So in my NG, my impression of Flash is that he’s a loving husband who can be a little oblivious to things. From what the show has given us, he seems like he’s very athletic and fit and he’s nice and a very caring boyfriend/coltfriend, but a little lacking in the brain region/oblivious to some things. Lmao, so I’m gonna go with that theme for my NG Flash. Also, finding a background for this was damn awful! Someone has gotta make a vector of Twilight’s castle bedroom one day… if it has to be me then by god I’ll do it! Not right now though.I’ll be going back to other art (that I owe others) for a while, so I promise to get another part done ASAP <3

After her bad encounter with Magical Aura, Twilight decided that she had to go to her husband, Flash Sentry, to vent. She sighed as she pushed open the door to her bedroom. She glanced inside the room to see if her husband was there. She noticed him just getting out of bed. She frowned and closed the door behind her as she stepped in the room.“Flash!” She said with disbelief. He glanced up at her with a confused look on his face.“Yeah?” He asked her, making his way over to her. She shook her head at him.“You were still sleeping? I asked you to get up already!” She said. He frowned and gave her a sorry look.“Oh, I’m sorry Twilight. I was still sleepy so I ended up falling asleep again.” He said with embarrassment. Twilight smiled slightly at her husband’s silliness.“It’s okay, Flash. I just don’t want to be late for the announcing today.” She said sadly. Flash Sentry noticed something was off with his wife. He draped an arm over her and pulled her close to him. She did her best to smile at him.“What happened, babe? You look a bit sad.” he asked her gently. She sighed and rested her head against him.“Well… it’s Magical Aura. I’m worried about her, Flash. She was sassing me when I went to go check on her. What’s her problem? Why does she act like this?” Twilight said helplessly. Flash smiled, then chuckled.“Twilight, she’ll come around. She’s what, a teenager? Teenagers go through phases where they hate their parents and are edgy.” Flash said with a laugh. Twilight’s gaze dropped to the floor. She still wasn’t sure about all of this. There must’ve been something killing Magical Aura on the inside.“I know, Flash, but… it just feels like she’s going through something mentally. I want to help her get through it.” Twilight said with a frown. Flash smiled and hugged Twilight.“If you ask her, maybe she’ll tell you what’s up.” Flash suggested. Twilight shrugged.“I don’t know, Flash. I doubt she’ll tell me. All she ever wants is to stay locked up in her bedroom. It’s concerning.” Twilight said with a huff. She felt her husband kiss her cheek and she smiled. Flash was so supportive. He was trying his best to help, but Twilight had no idea if anything he was suggesting would work out.“Like I said, she’s a teenager. I’m sure she’ll grow out of it. If you want me to ask her, I will.” Flash said. Twilight glanced up at the ceiling. But what if she never grows out of it? Twilight shook her head.“I don’t think she’ll tell you either.” Twilight said with a sigh. There was an awkward silence between the two for a few moments, before Twilight spoke up again.“…Magical Aura reminds me of, well, myself. Well, before Princess Celestia sent me out of Canterlot to make some friends, that is.” Twilight said, resting her hooves on the windowsill by her bed. Flash watched her.“What? But you’re nothing like that. You’re sweet and smart and beautiful.” Flash said. Twilight smiled. She nodded, resting her chin on her arms.“That’s true I guess, but if I had never left Canterlot, I would’ve never met my friends. Then I would’ve never became a princess. And I never would’ve met you, married you, and had three children with you. All I did back in those days was bury my nose in books all day long. I never wanted to interact with other ponies because I just wanted to read my books. I was scared that friends would get in the way of my books. I feel like Magical Aura inherited some of that from me, Flash. The problem is that she has friends. So I just don’t get why she hasn’t had a life-changing experience like I did when I met my friends. There has to be something she’s holding back.” Twilight said, thinking back to her old life as a simple unicorn. Before all the princess business. When life was all about books instead of friends and being royalty. Flash scratched the back of his head. He really didn’t have a good answer for this.“I don’t know, Twilight. But… you should ask her. That’s the only way you’ll ever find out anything from her.” Flash stated. Twilight faced her husband again, draping a wing over him and pulling him close to her.“I guess I’ll try… Thanks, Flash Sentry.” She said affectionately. He smiled and nuzzled her, causing her to giggle. He grinned, then she pulled her wing away from him and made her way back to the door. She stood in the doorway with a sly look on her face.“Now then, get your flank ready, Flash! We’ve gotta leave soon. Don’t forget to get your royal jewelry on!” Twilight said, sticking her head in the doorway. Flash nodded, making his way to the vanity.“You got it, Mrs. Twilight.” He said with a salute. Twilight giggled again and closed the bedroom door as she stepped out. She decided to take the extra time to check on the other two children. She thought to herself as she made her way to her son’s room. How was she gonna get Magical Aura to talk to her? Maybe she’ll worry about it after the announcing was over…%%
