True, in every other respect it was treated as equivalent to suicide, but the fact that it was reversible isn’t trivial. Twilight was clearly only okay with it because she would be able to reverse it if she thought of a better solution for Rockhoof.

Petrification is reversible in this universe. Remember how Twilight was willing to turn Rockhoof to stone because the process was temporary?
It’s nice to see people taking the age of the perpetrator into account more than the severity of the crime even here. Guess it’s not just a judicial system thing.
