A honeymoon? I thought this was the first date. You know, to see if Spike was tough enough to survive courting another dragon.
 
EDIT: Nope, there’s the ring on Ember’s claw. I wonder if dragons forge them with their own fire before giving it to their spouse?

When understanding dragons, you have to understand that dragons interpret death far differently than ponies do. Even on some level Spike understands it. Dragons always seek dominance and victory, and if that means the death of another, especially if justified, it brings them pleasure. This is an essential part of being dragon.

Well… It looks like a wooded area and the creature was pretty big… Also if it had gripped one of them and caught them by surprise there’s no real way of avoiding conflict in that scenario…
