Dragons who already have young often enlist their help when taking care of newly hatched babies, since smaller dragons have a much easier time handling them safely. Garble spent a lot of time looking after Smolder and is quite knowledgeable as a result. He is now passing that knowledge on to his inexperienced sister.
“She can feel you’re nervous, Smolder! Hold her more firmly!”
Well I don’t know if Spike was ever in My little pony tales, but… G1 is pretty much a good era. Although G3 is like a middle difficulty and G4 is hard.
In other wards: Oh…

That’s G3. Spike’s not in Pony Tales.
The Nostrolja?
Where Charlie Adler voiced spike?
@Ardashir
You should watch My Little Pony Tales, they gave “Happily Adopted” a full spin for Patch.

No problem.

Yeah, Clump’s a softie at home. I wonder how true this is for most dragons.
Adoption is a very altruistic concept, so it’s surprising it doesn’t have more positive associations. Of course adopted children have their struggles.
I remember your art of Clump, his parents, and their quite large family. A lot of young men and women act different at home under the eyes of their mother and father. Which can make it very amusing to meet them there after you’ve experienced their behavior when their parents aren’t watching.
What’s funny is that I imagine Clump has a lot of siblings too and he’s completely different at home.
“Hey, guys, I found something for the brat to suck on!” [Shows them hatchling innocently chewing on the barrel of a pistol – or given that this is a fantasy, a wand of lightning bolts or the like.]
Well, being raised by ponies worked well with Spike.
yeah…. and somehow Garble didn’t expect to see his step-brother to come which is Spike.
And probably something will go terribly wrong if Garble does his toying with spike thing again. or worse.
Sounds like what child-rearing was like for my parents’ generation; they were born in 1928 and 1931.
The art and fanon here is lovely, too. Imagine Spike seeing this and getting a shock to see Garble, of all dragons, knowing something about child-rearing.
Oh… Ok then.
Ahh, i won’t be hearing that one anymore pretty soon hehe
Thanks!
And yeah, I think that dragons have a surprising “it takes a village” mentality when it comes to raising the kids. Not only would older siblings help raise the younger ones, but I can see complete strangers admonish misbehaving kids with growls and even roars too.
She just holds the babies in the end of the episode
I like the idea of teenaged dragons enlisting in helping take care of the newly hatched babies. The big adults might struggle taking care of something this small.
Well not sure because I saw some images of Baby cinder with Fluttershy.
I mena I’m not sure if it’s actually true or not but I think you should search for Fluttershy and baby cinder.
and to be honest I’m not sure.

You don’t actually think she was serious when she said she’d take them all, do you?
