Al’s pretty talented, and actually he’s done alot of characters like that.
I like how in “Batman Brave & the Bold” in one ep’ Batmite shows a Batman+Scooby Doo crossover done in the same vein as the 1970s Scooby Doo + Batman crossovers, as an affectionate parody of them, and like them it had a random guest-star too, Weird Al himself.
Bat Mite himself even kinda geeked out over having Batman, Scooby-Doo, and Weird Al together.
Another time in that show Batman crossed over with Space Ghost, not the talk show parody version, (love “SG Coast to Coast” BTW) but the original cornball classic 1960s version, with Gary Owens (R.I.P.) himself reprising the character,
I do remember in the grim adventures of Billy and Mandy in their Harry potter parodies was the squid hat the parody of the sorting hat.
One thing I will say about this episode I think it did make it better use of his skills as an actor feeling he was playing more of an actual character and not just himself again
I’m aware of that. I’m a huge Weird Al fan here. Granted, he has actually guest-starred in many cartoons sense the 2000s, but didn’t sing in all of them.
Most notably, he’s appeared as Wreck-Gar in “Transformers Animated,” as well as Gravity Falls, Teen Titans GO!, in the Simpsons twice, Lilo and Stitch the Series, and more.
The show is known for it is songs? It’s actually “its”.
To be fair weird Al is a singer and the show is known for it’s songs so it would probably make less sense to not give him a song.
it would be like that time SpongeBob got David Bowie as a guest star and didn’t give him a song despite being a musical episode
