Actually, in my fanon, except for that last one (which I had to look up. Speaking of “slight squick”…), as long as they are unfertilized, it is all good… One of the players in my D&D game pointed out that since Cow milk is a thing, and (again, in my fanon) the destination of a lot of the corpse of anyone except a Griffin (or Hippogryph) is a Griffin’s plate.
Continuing with the squick, and adding some tragedy/moderate grimdark via a specific example:

Also I would like to take this moment to point out that this is once again proof that ponies have secretly been omnivores since season one and they’re only pretending to be herbivores because THEY DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW THE TRUTH.
They also eat jello. That’s canon. Most people forget this but jello is a product of animal protein. Gelatin is a processed form of collagen harvested from the tissue and bones of animals - usually pigs and cows.
