Let me clarify the van’s real-life inspiration…

The van is somewhat based on a German design, mainly the 1967–1979 Volkswagen Type 2 [T2], although it has some cues from a 1950–1967 Volkswagen Type 2 [T1]. It also bears some resemblance from a 1957-1965 Thames 10cwt/12cwt/15cwt [400E] and 1961–1967 Ford Econoline.
