On one hand, I want to point out that you skipped Molt Down for top tier spoiling as that was advertised for months before finally airing. On the other hand, the episode really didn’t matter and did nothing to Spike, so…

Unfortunately quite true, Hasbro would’ve done good taking notes from franchises like Marvel and Star Wars with their promos

Yeah, but honestly, who goes into a behind the scenes video entirely about a particular episode expecting them to not talk at all about what’s going to happen in it? I’d understand if they had called it a trailer or teaser or what have you, and then spoiled everything, but something that promises more details on how the thing in question came to be and the thoughts of the people involved in it kind of carries by default a sense that things will be revealed.

I remember. Though some of these cases, the toys kind of spoiled us before the ads did. We saw toys of alicorn Twilight months before the ad for example.

Remember when they went out of their way to avoid showing the Changelings and Queen Chrysalis in the promos for A Canterlot Wedding, to the point of outright editing some of the footage?

The most recent example: Hasbro releasing “Behind the scenes of the 200th episode” in which they showed the ending of the episode and who won the crown of the sibling supreme BEFORE the episode aired.
