Spike the dog has never shown a particular attraction to Rarity.
Probably because on this side of the portal, him having the same level of obsession as his Equestrian counterpart might come across as a bit… wrong.
 
And if they did do that, they almost certainly couldn’t get away with having human Rarity reciprocate his affection.

Not really. Spike the dog has never shown a particular attraction to Rarity.
 
Whenever he is not with Twilight, he most often goes to Fluttershy.
 
But considering how expensive those look, Ratity’s tastes might be rubbing off on him.
