I love the show but Starlight is the only pone I actually get excited to see in episodes ever since she was introduced

Honestly if rabid haters and fanboys/girls grew up and learned not be toxic about opinions they don’t like or moved on to a different fandom you’d probably see a 85% decrease in fandom drama…. of course we’d be more likely to be wiped out by a meteor than haters and fanboys/girls learning to mature or at least lose interest as the chaotic nature of humanity can make us extremely irrational.

I love how the comments essentially prove this.

Um have you seen glimmer haters some of them can be complete asshole some will go as far as to lie to prove there points and threaten people who disagree with there Insane logic

Timber haters annoy the crap out of me regardless of the quality of he’s images there always met with a large first wave of downvotes going down to 3 6 or even 7 and every comment is always left by the same people someone starting a shipping war flashlight extremest scitwishimmer extremest and people twisting timber into something he’s not just to justify there hate
 
And alot of ways flash and timber hate are basically the same because alot of the haters of flash went to hate timber and unfortunately some of the fans of flash sentry are doing the same thing the haters did give a character alot of hate that doesn’t deserve it.

I think the OP has as shorter-term memory as Avocadolayer or Soyguy when it comes to fandom controversies. When the heads of the show have to outright state on Twitter that Flash Sentry appearing in an episode does not mean he has a speaking role, or the entirety of the Twilicorn drama, goes to show that there has been bigger and worse hatedoms in the past.

Starlight is actually the new main character. When she’s not onscreen, everyone should be asking ‘where’s Starlight?’

Starlight is just a poorly executed character in many regards, and by far the weakest element of the series in regards to the amount of time devoted to her. Her backstory is largely nonsensical, her turnaround ridiculously rushed, her character traits overlap existing characters too much, she poorly compliments the existing cast… Instead necessitating that they be removed from the plot for her to work… It just goes on and on.
 
She’s a narrative house built with bad foundations that keep showing through for people who see past the efforts to spackle over the cracks by pairing her with favorite secondary characters like Trixie, Maud, Discord, Thorax and the like.
 
She’s just a poorly thought-out addition to the show.
