Remember the time that Jet’s lawyer told Delta to spend more time with Apogee, and said that it was her daughter’s request to see her mom more and not Jet’s request, and Delta Vee said “no”? She’s starting to warm up to her daughter, but she super didn’t even want to spend time with her for a long time. I think she loves her daughter, but Apogee is a physical representation of how fucked Delta’s life is and how much potential got wasted. Like how Snape hates Harry Potter because his dad was a fucking dick to him and married his crush.

Delta doesnt hate Apogee at all she actually loves her its Jet that she hates so much.Little Apogee is just getting in the crossfire but she is being loved by her mom and her dad.Delta may not show it but she does love her she is precious to her and when she made apogee cry you can see that she felt extremely bad for doing so and hugged her and apologized to her

I’m not trying to speak for Shino. It’s more that insight he’s given to some people indicates that this is the way the relationship works.
 
I don’t blame Delta for being angry. Getting pregnant with Apogee ruined her career as far as she’s concerned. But she also chose to run away and has created a narrative where Jet is an evil bastard in order to justify it. He’s been shown to wish well for her…he was devastated as it was that she was choosing her career over him and he’s undoubtedly felt guilty ever since Apogee was conceived.
 
The strained relationship between Delta and Jet would never have come to pass if Apogee had not been conceived. But neither of them are callous enough to wish she’d never been born. All the same, Apogee bears the burden of her own existence having ruined her parents. And a sweetheart like her really doesn’t deserve that.
 
I understand Delta. Quite well, in fact. But her life is an unhealthy one and hopefully Apogee takes care in her desire to help. I’m certain that, as smart as she is, she’s aware that she’s potentially playing with fire.

this relationship definitely aint what it looks like to me, even if admittedly it’d be the most picturesque way things’d develop if we’re in for a more or less feelgood comic. Jet fucked up puhretty hard, and it’s hard to blame Delta for much if you’ve been in a similar spout of real life melodrama.

Jet loves her. And deep down she still loves him. Why she resents him is because she has convinced herself that he got her pregnant with Apogee to get her out of the way. Not only is that clearly not true, but it’s a belief that victimizes Delta for her own decision to run away from her family, in her mind justifying her decision to live her miserable, lonely life.
 
If anything shook that, her whole world would come crashing down and the regret would destroy her.

Which is backed up by the fact that apogee’s whole existence came out of when delta opened herself up to jet physically under the presumed belief that it was unrelated to their career dispute
 
that kind of thing doesn’t die easily; no wonder delta is so resistant to jet’s attempts to break down her emotional barriers.
