Has anyone even asked the staff on gender distinction in kirins?

Actually, they may both be males. One theory is that male kirin have the chevron markings on their horns point in opposite directions, while the females have them point in the same direction.
At least the “tree” here.

Ever noticed how there didn’t appear to be any foals int heir village?
Guess being silent for years hindered their ability to “engage” with each other.
Now that I think about it, they could have just saved the entire Kirin race from assured extinction.
Unless of course, they’re like dragons in many lore where they have long lifespans and don’t reproduce as quickly as the other races.
