This is a really lovely and sweet picture of Spike.

I’m really digging’ Sherwood’s “Spiketober” so far.

This is lovely! It’s a straightforward, well drawn piece that captures the cute and carefree atmosphere that drew so many people to MLP. What I probably like the most is that despite the scene being very simple, it manages to convey Spike’s personality pretty much perfectly. That is very impressive for a picture that has so little going on in it. I also like how the artist handled the line thickness and how they managed to capture the weight of Spike’s relaxed body with just a few simple outlines. In fact, I see no superfluous lines at all. The style is very charming; it stays very close to the show’s representation of the character while maintaining its own uniqueness.  
I don’t often rate something a 10/10, but this is a must-see for Spike fans.
