Um…yeah? I just thought it was a fun parallel between the “washouts” and that whole plotline with Slade to reference. 86 other people thought so to. Don’t know what side of the bed you woke up on to leave this helpful, backhanded observation, but go off, I guess.

I don’t know how or why superman would make sense from your perspective, but this makes more sense because of the two-parter in Teen Titans titled “The Apprentice”
