Nahh, just Maud rescuing foal sister again.
When you market a hero as the “every man,” it’s easy to mess up and reject the audience you were going after.

I read “One More Day” when it was first released. I bought one issue of “Brand New Day” and decided that was that. I was angry at the decision, but more than anything I felt like this was a story that didn’t invite me. I’d invested in the previous story and it had come to an abrupt, disappointing end. No reason to continue.
I have seen Linkara’s review of the Avengers story with Ms. Marvel and glad I missed that. I was more removed from Nazi Cap but I’m glad a recent Marvel event fixed that idea.
Linkara reviewed both of those oldies. I suggest looking the reviews up to get a better idea of them.
I was long gone by the time of Captain Nazi-America, and I recall a lot of disgust over the Ms. Marvel one, though it was less than the fury displayed over a John Byrne Superman plot where he gets mind controlled into making pornos with Big Barda (and where she is shown whimpering ‘No’ to a guy named Sleez when hee threatens to have her pleasure him “again”).
Not even Naiz Capitan America or Miss Marvel marring her rapist/son?
I was on a comics forum back when it happened. I never saw so much rage and bile before or since when Marvel pulled ‘One More Day’.
Not sure. Still, the intent and idiocy is there either way. There’s a reason it’s infamous, if Linkara is any indication.
Is it that much of a difference?
It was their marriage that he sold, not Mary.
