Being born with a disability is not the same as getting maimed by a vicious beast and being shunned afterwards.  
And while she did some terrible things before she was ready to sacrifice her life for Twily.  
She deserves better than this.

She was willing to enslave her entire homeland and hand the power of the Princesses over to the Storm King, who is both A) evil and B) an idiot, with no remorse, over that chip on her forehead, and only changed her tune after the Storm King screwed her over for no real reason other than because he could and Twilight saved her ass because that’s what the good guys do, even for terrible people. In other words, she’d have continued not giving a buck who she hurt ‘til the day she died if the Storm King had given her what she wanted. All because she didn’t have the emotional maturity that freakin’ Scootaloo was blessed with and decided to make everyone else suffer for the hand fate dealt her instead of learning to cope with her disability and not let it define her.
 
Compared what people put Starlight through and claim she deserves, Tempest’s getting off pretty light here.
