G-1 wasn’t that bad. I think a lot roast it mostly for being an obvious 22 minute toy commercial. A lot of people do the same with stuff like the train and Princess Sparkle’s castle play set.
Yeah, some of it is kind of meh, but there’s some magical with these horses. If there wasn’t, we wouldn’t be here. At least a little better then proceeding Gen. You know which.

Combine the animation style of today with the classic look:

I think the side view which is prevalent in the G1 art style is what bothers people, I can kind see why.

I dunno, they’re not that bad. They look more like real miniature horses, the cartoony type we have now.
