Starlight is an interesting character due to commie background, such that her villainy is closest to real life villains than any other villains, and after reformed, she has wild card personality. She is even overpowered mare, say communist jokes sometimes after reformations to grab attentions of viewers, however, Starlight isn’t going to replace the mane six at all, look at the movie, she only appears cameo alongside Trixie.

The “math” here is misleading. OP has seemingly failed to take into account that the table records any and all on-screen appearances, including voiceless background cameos. If we’re talking about episodes where Starlight is the protagonist or one of the protagonists, that has actually decreased with each season.

It’s funny because the fandom thinks the fake redemption of Starlight and her continued presence ruined the show.
 
Whoever thinks differently will be met by an entire fandom.

Yeah, I find that posts like these are misleading because they don’t necesarily equate to seasonal FOCUS. I’d argue that season 6 is the most FOCUS that Starlight ever had. Because she would basically only appear if she was the centre of attention, and the arc of the season was centred around her. The exception being The Times they are a Changeling and that was just to set up that Starlight knew Thorax for the finale.
 
Season 7 increased the number of purely incidental appearances that she had, like Triple Threat and It Isn’t the Mane Thing about You. The finale heavily featured her but not at the forefront until part 2, and even then she shares quite a bit of it with Twilight.

I’d argue that despite the number of appearances she’s had she’s far less involved in events than she was though.
 
Maud COuple for instance. She’s just there because she’s Maud’s friend. She doesn’t save the day or give Pinkie the winning advice or anything.
 
Horse Play she’s just part of the ensemble.
 
Or Mean 6. She’s literally just there to be the chew toy essentially.

OK, on a second thought, maybe it’s better that the show’s ending already.  
Specially if we get to keep Equestria Girls regardless of that.

She needs her own spin-off tbh

This is not real… It`s sad when the Season 9 is as the final Season…

Starlight even got to be one of the four protagonists of this MLP Original Movie while the Mane Six there are just speechless extras that run away from a Metal Gear that she, Trixie, X, and Zero blast and split wide open!

Maybe do a softreboot in the same universe but with different characters, with the Mane 6 appearing certain times.

No wonder they’re ending it at Season 9. They can’t bear the idea of losing their precious Mane 6…
