I actually really enjoy playing x-wing, I find it a fun and relaxing game. Armada’s pretty good too.
You really want to play with the toy your ex-comrade sugar belle is playing.
Given Sugar Belle was a commie before, she sure enjoy that soo much, while Big Macintosh completely lost his minds.

If your question was serious: Google up Warhammer 40k. If you wade through the rage, factionalism and deranged fanbois, you can find lots of well done tutorials, tips, and tricks for actually painting things. The principles and techniques translate well for other miniatures and models, and at least the people doing them don’t try to write or sound like a stoned Mr. Rogers.
Yeah she joining Discord’s roleplaying sessions with Big Mac actually sounds like a cute thing to do as couple.
