Two thing’s
One: That sounds nothing like how she’d react so I’m not sure if that’s even an argument
Two: How the hell is that being an unforeseen accident worse that actively trying to wipe him from existence?
Follow-up question, why do people bring that up when the show doesn’t even acknowledge that? Just because Twilight didn’t hatch him doesn’t mean he’ll never hatch. Hell, Spike is still there despite the changes of the past. So this shouldn’t even be an argument.
That just makes it worse.

That’s a little much considering that wasn’t even a part of her plan
I’m not sure Spike’s quite forgiven Starlight for almost keeping him from hatching.
