If we try and fight The Thing, we’ll be infected, even if we use fire. But if we can get The Daleks to battle it, we know they can’t be infected thanks to their battle suits.
 
It’s simple. We offer to give them Doctor Whooves, but the location we give them for the trade off is The Thing’s location. After The Daleks have killed The Thing, we get Hooves to kill The Daleks. It’s the perfect plan!
