They will always compete.
Exactly. The fact that they had a lesson or two reminding them to not be so competitive is not going to change their entire personalities. They’re both stubborn and often convinced their way is right, and that tends to pit them against each other. It’s really just part of their dynamic.

Diagnostic: too much exposure to Starlight and permanent brain damage from being whacked with the Idiot Ball throughout the seasons have reduced their character development to pre-S1 levels. To be expected with someone like RD… but AJ might need to be put down at this point :/.

(AJ voice) Eeeexactly. Art evolution at its finest. I can’t believe how much they have advanced both in backgrounds and animations. I wouldn’t say they are from the same show if it wasn’t because of the… well… ponies.

Applejerk and Rainbow Crash need to be fused into a two-headed compound pony, by Discord! The more they compete, the more they fuse, and once they learn to work together, they’ll be free from the spell! Unless you’d rather I have them channel Scratch and Grounder in Source FilmMaker as AOSTH Robotnik threatens to send the two to the GLUE FACTORY if they don’t capture Sonic the Hedgehog!

Even they learn their lesson, they still like to have a competition with each other. Because you know, it what they do well not everytime. That’s the Rainbow and AJ we know. The episode was ok and I’m with the six student throughout the entire episode.
