Well, to be true, I can understand Starlights special issues. For some special ponies it IS quite hard to find friends (or any friend) and if you lose them, it’s a loss you can nearly never overcome. Especially for somepony who is very different from others. Naturally gifted and social outcasted for it since childhood.
 
No offense, ‘cause I don’t speak indirectly for myself. I just know other people lived through the same, but let’s try to focus on the character of Starlight Glimmer. She’s a natural gifted magic-user, maybe even stronger than Twilight, suffered from her grief (okay, the reason for this is a little bit overdramatic, but I can empathize with her) and made wrong decisions.
 
But wrong decisions just make you stronger (if you willing to learn from your faults). That’s exactly what Starlight did the last two seasons and it’s great to see her progress. Good pony! Even with issues. ;-D
