Tirek is the best hero in this show. Not only did he fix the golden oaks library but he also starting giving ponies his magic, sadly this was a huge sacrifice as he became weaker by doing this.

Well hey, who can blame Twi for those actions, as, such was mentioned above, Celestia did kind of take away her royalty status after moving her from a castle to a freaking tree. Her removing Twilight from Ponyville and forcing her to stay in the castle under her watch seems to be a reasonable reaction to all her damage throughout the seasons, though Twilight’s rapid disowning of her friends is odd. They did abandon her after helping her bring back Nightmare Moon though.
 
And it’s amazing how they brought in Lauren Faust to finish the series in the last season. Pretty neat of her to start the season with the mane six repairing the G. G. Gala and heading home.

I highly doubt those events were meant to occur as they did, considering Celestia finally disowns her in the series finale.

They also let an entire empire of crystal ponies vanish into thin air after reviving its evil dictator king and losing the crystal heart that would actually help the ponies. Not to mention swearing the god of chaos off the concept of friendship and freeing him from his stone prison to wreak havoc. What kind of lessons are those?!
