I think it’s more like Starlight knows that Twilight’s methods will work better even when Twilight herself is doubtful about it. Everyone went with Twilight’s desire to adhere to the rules for awhile, even if they didn’t enjoy it and everyone besides Twi could see things headed downhill fast. Then, everything blew up in their face and Twi was left a sobbing mess; so Starlight slapped that rulebook into the water and gave her the confidence to re-pursue the school in her own way. Also, Twi’s the Princess of Friendship; regulations are in place for a reason, yeah, but if it doesn’t work, then maybe it should be the Friendship Princess that should be fixing things her own way for the friendship school. And, I doubt those guidelines were written with a friendship school in mind. Finally, Neighsay is an asshole so fuck him.

Like, screw the rules of our nation, I have my own authority.
