I noticed that too. I commented on their page and recommended that they give credit to those who’s work they take from, and they blocked me as a response lol. This guy couldn’t make it any more obvious if he tried.

I’m pretty sure he believes it is a trace. He’s just saying the artist of this image is still in the wrong even if it weren’t a trace. And I agree with that.
Please it is a trace just look the original, every thing is identical to the dot, only the tail is a bit more lifted in here but that’s probably because the person is bad at colouring it in the first place.
Art theft is a needed tag since the original author has to request the take down himself and derpibooru is blocked in Russia which is home of the original artist in here so he can’t request it, pointing it out through the tag is the best course of action.
Even if he didnt trace it, he still copied the pose to the point where regardless if he traced it or drew it from scratch, it’s obvious that they look similar enough to cause a problem. Anyone else would’ve just that it not be worth it and drawn something different before even starting. Also, why is art theft a tag? Seems kind of like it’s advertising it rather than pointing it out. Especially considering that there’s apparently still 147 other pieces of art under that category.

I agree. I made it a point to post a comment on the picture that the artist stole about the theft as well. I’m sure we’re not the only ones who have or will notice this and it’s been online for less than half a day.
I did question the artist at DA, which replied to Not have traced it and supposedly never even heard about Setharu…
Right… I don’t get it why do this, just give the credit and be done with it, now the artist is going to get hate and dislike by any one who sees it.
It is a shame really, I did PM Setharu himself in DA, I have commissioned him in the past so I know him a little, talking about this, if he takes action in DA for this draw to be taken down I’d believe the same should happen here in derpibooru.
