I get the point of the magic of the Elements of Harmony(or, Rainbow Power, if it’s relevant anymore), but that’s more of an Ex-Machina than anything at this point, which is a bit of the whole kids-demographic part of MLP.
As for the point made by others about inaccuracy with spells, it doesn’t really fit her character if she’s focused well enough. Oh well.
@SomePonei
I think the point that was being made is that Twilight needs her friends to shoot that magic rainbow beam. That’s usually how she wins her fights. Without her friends, she can’t use her full potential and that’s a huge handicap. When it comes to destructive magic, combat training and experience Raven outclasses Twi by a lot. Twilight’s odds of winning are very slim.
That being said, the only hope Twi has is the versatility of her spells. Twi can teleport, transmutate, time travel and enchant. I think one possible winning scenario would look like this:
Twi shoots a beam at Raven, but Raven evades or reflects with her shield. Twilight recognizes her defense and casts ‘love it, need it’ on a rock. She throws the rock toward Raven causing her to dive for it. Twilight uses that moment of distraction to transform Raven into an orange. Twilight steps on the orange.
A key part of Twilight’s potential doesn’t come from her friends, it comes from her motivation being friends. It’s something that’s tapped into in the movie after she yelled at Pinkie and the rest of her friends, where she just completely gave up. This was clued in by the fact that she also very blatantly says “I failed friendship”.
This fight is going to be one-sided. Twilight’s power comes from her friends which puts her at a huge disadvantage in a one-on-one battle. The last time she fought by herself was against Starlight Glimmer and she couldn’t even beat her. Raven can shield and counter against anything Twilight can throw at her. Twi doesn’t have a chance.
Boomstick is a closet Brony.

To be fair Starlight had plot armor, death battle doesn’t have that.
(On the video, I mean.)
(Maybe here.)
For the Comment Section, i mean. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
There’s a spoiler syntax for a reason.
She has absolutely terrible aim.
To beat her you just have to know how to move slightly to the right.
