Not gonna lie, it would have been cute if he started singing with her in this part of the song though. But your guess is probably right too.
My guess is they just didn’t want to get him as cheese sandwich is not important character in the movie it would have been more of a celebrity cameo

Either he was busy or maybe they figured that since they have so many celebrities in the movie already, the couldn’t afford getting another one money wise. That could also explain why Discord didn’t appear either.
Is he busy? I haven’t really heard of him doing anything recently, maybe that Disney Cartoon he’s in?
