I think so too. The ears look like spoons facing forwards so the ear plug should go from the other side of that “line”.
Then again, the show does the same thing. My brain is confused.

My headcanon is that those earplugs are her own, and are a few weeks old, and this is the lamest revenge plot ever where she’s planning on giving her mentor an ear infection. Which may or may not even work.
