Yeah, those are all leaked concept art. At one point Equestria Daily changed their stance on leaked concept art and posted them in an article (but less then 24 hours, they changed their mind again and removed all the images).

Possibly. Someone had uploaded the art from Row 6 a while back and it was taken down. I’d suggest you ask a mod just in case.

I don’t think those are fanmade. I think they were from the leaks. I’ve seen those pictures removed from here because of that.

Heh, yeah. I do hope something like 4 is what they go with if they decide to keep the braided look.
If not, then 2 is a very good design. Different, but similar enough that she still feels like Aj.
She’d fit into the mane cast more as well with either of those designs (if they’re keeping Fluts and Twis).

Hmm. There are ways to do that, I suppose. In one of the Artemis Fowl books, I remember, a character grows her hair long, braids it and secures a large stone bead at the end. Swung at high velocity, it made a pretty serviceable flail.
It would be interesting (and kind of funny) if Applejack managed to make braids look tough.
I hope so. I’ve seen others where her G4 mane are kept, but it’s braided at the back, with more earthy browns in her coat too. Like the ones in Row 2 and 4 (although these are clearly fan made):

Pretty sure Gen 5 Applejack’s final design will look a bit tougher.

Who knows, maybe Harshbro just decided Applejack wasn’t significant enough to the plot to keep. So they straight up merged her woth Fluttershy and made Flutterjack Shy.
I guess fanarts are OK, but the actual leaked image is not.
