If youve read the leaked files you would know that there are some things they are certain of (which i can obviously not state here because that goes under posting leaked content). Its not 100% guaranteed, but its a lot better than whatever you could say
You can be aiming for whatever you want, it doesn’t mean actual execution of it will not fail.
P.S. There’s no designs, only throw-ball concepts. They didn’t even decided how many protagonists there will be, or what species they are. And time goes and goes…

Pfffft. If anything they’ll be worse. Most of the controversial changes/additions to the show (Twilicorn, Twilight’s Castle, Flurry Heart, and so on) were due to Hasbro’s demands because they wanted more marketable toy possibilities.
With Faust gone and very few of the old show staff left as of the upcoming changes (pretty much only Meghan from what I’ve seen) be prepared for mega-Hasbro exec meddling mode.
Then again, Faust was never a good writer to begin with.
As she cannot cope a story.

I supose that are now suposed to be for the 3-16 years old audience, and it’s good that they finally are making MLP less corny and feminine, tbh FiM isn’t like that in the show, but the toys still the same than his predecessors, i hope that G5 changes that and hire someone that would make a great job like faust without copying what she did.
Hopefully they will take notes from their earlier predecessor. What to do and what not to do.
(Example: Don’t create plotholes or guns that never fire.)

Same. Speaking as someone who is into Transformers, new generations/reboots happen but it’s always good to keep an open mind because what you get might pleasently surprise you.

I let out a grave sigh as I typed “my little pony friendship is magic episode 1” into the YouTube search box, and then said “alright, let’s see what all the hubbub is about. i’ll give you a fair shot, my little pony. impress me.”

Well yeah, I’m aware of that happening and when long running shows do that, that’s usually a sign that it needs to end beofre things drag on for too long and get too stale.
And that’s one of the reasons why I don’t mind G4 ending (and getting rebooted with G5 down the line). I don’t want this show to become what The Simpsons became.
The writing I’m referring to is the habit of more recent episodes to repeat morales and development stories from earlier episodes as well as writing character more and more out of character. This is because the show has more new writers than old, and a new director as well. This is about G4 not G5.
I’m going to send you a PM though. That’s a good idea.
I honestly don’t feel the show is being currently plagued by bad writing in recent seasons compared to the earlier ones. (I felt that both the old and new seasons have their fair share of good and bad episodes.)
Plus since you’re being vague, I can’t really get the gist of what you mean by bad writing. Is what you’re talking about problems involving pacing, character development, world building, plot, character interactions, etc.? I can’t really know what you think is bad simply by you saying, “It’s bad.”
If what you want to tell me gets into spoiler territory, please feel free to continue this discussion with me through PMs.
But for now, all the vibes I’ve been getting from people is just similar to what happened when Twilight became an Alicorn or whenever Transformers also gets a reboot (akin to what you would call “flushing everything down the toliet”). It just feels like people are panicking without even stopping to think that these concepts might change in the future or that despite being different from what we’re familiar with, the new content might give us some pleasent surprises. Or maybe I’m too optomistic.

Oh. Well the file I have does not contain S8 or S9 scripts. Not that I’ve seen, anyway. It does have copies of the S7 scripts, which were added prior to the season being released.

The problem is, in addition to flushing everything down the toilet, the new series will continue with the poor-quality writing that’s already been plaguing the current show for the past couple of seasons.

OK then, let me tell you that you’re missing a lot, A LOT. The concept art is nothing compared to what’s discussed in the emails. About the only thing that survives is character names, and in one case maybe not even that.
And yeah, I’m hoping even if they don’t notice the backlash, that time will see many changes, because holy crap, talk about throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Not all of them but the concept art I did get ot see, I honestly didn’t mind too much at all.
Also since G5 won’t be out until another 3 years, that’s plenty enough time for concepts to change. So even the “pants-on-head stupid” material you saw might not be in the final product.

That’s true, i’m sad about FiM ending soon, but i don’t imagine the series continuing in 2025, and if the next generation continues with the FiM chronology it will be obvious that they want to continue overexploiting it
